The project RISE
The project “RISE” - Reinforcing integration through sponsorship enhancement in Belgium (BE), Italy (IT)
and Lithuania (LT) responds to the housing needs of beneficiaries of international protection, through the
finetuning, development and piloting of community sponsorship (CS) programmes in BE, IT and LT.
Through this project, public and private stakeholders from diverse European contexts and with different
expertise in integration and housing, will enhance transnational knowledge and cooperation.
The project is structured around accessibility to housing as a key element to integration, consistent with
the EU Action Plan on Integration and Inclusion 2021-2027.
The initiative seeks to achieve multiple objectives, including:
• Strengthen knowledge on existing programmes and increase capacities to implement innovative
schemes with a focus on housing (by assessment of the most effective approaches to housing
solutions for CS models);
